Lila McCall was the daughter of Michael "Sonny" Corinthos Jr. and Samantha "Sam" McCall. She was born stillborn on November 8, 2004. She is the half-sister of Dante Falconeri, Michael Corinthos III, Kristina Davis-Corinthos, Morgan Corinthos, Daniel "Danny" Morgan, Avery Corinthos and Donna Corinthos.

Sonny and Sam had a short lived affair before Sonny returned to his wife Caroline "Carly" Benson. When it was revealed that Sam was pregnant, Sonny's best friend Jason Morgan, agreed that say that he was the father in order to protect Carly and Sonny's marriage. When Sam is nearing the end of her pregnancy, it is discovered that Sam's baby is a match for Kristina. The stem cells from the baby's umbilical cord could be uses to save Kristina's life.

Sam initially refuses fearing for her baby's life but after a confrontation with Alexis Davis (Kristina's mother), Sam agreed to induce labor. But soon after the baby abruptio placentae causing her baby to be stillborn. Sonny allows them to take the baby's umbilical cord for the stem cells needed to save Kristina's life.

Sam and Jason had planned on naming the baby Lila, after Jason's late grandmother Lila Morgan, who had died during Sam's pregnancy. Following, baby Lila's death, Sam and Jason fell in love.
